AI Predict Crime Model Was Utter Failure

The police have developed a new innovative AI model to detect the violent crime motive and people have failed miserably. The AI model developed by Police can predict knife and gun violence before it happens and it allows the police to make countermeasures in order to control it. The AI system is named as the Most Serious Violence (MSV) and it is basically the part of National Data Analytic Solution (NDAS) project. Furthermore, the Home Office has provided the £10 million funding for the project to make it a success, but it yields no result afterwards.

NDAS Document states, “A coding error was found in the definition of the training dataset which has rendered the current problem statement of MSV unviable.”

“It has proven unfeasible with data currently available, to identify a point of intervention before a person commits their first MSV offence with a gun or knife, with any degree of precision,” the document added.

A reader in law and criminal justice at the University of Surrey, Melissa Hamilton said, “Rare events are much harder to predict than common events.”

“While we know that risk tools don’t perform the same in different jurisdictions, I’ve never seen that big of a margin of difference – particularly when you talk about the same country,” he added.

Police added, “There is insufficient information around how this model improves the current situation around decision making in preventing serious youth violence,”

“The Committee has expressed these concerns previously on more than one occasion without sufficient clarity being provided, and therefore as the project stands, it advises the project is discontinued,”

SP of Police Nick Dale said, “We cannot say, with certainty, what the final model will look like, if indeed, we are able to create a suitable model. All our work will be scrutinised by the ethics committee and their deliberations will be published.”

Jordan Anderson Named Football Writers Player Of The Year

Jordan Anderson has been named by the Football Writers Association Player of the year for his outstanding performance in getting the Premier League Title for Liverpool. The captain of the team has played a total of 30 matches, despite a knee injury that made him out of the final four games. The Football Writers Association has named Kevin De Bruyne as the second in the vote.

Jordan Henderson managed to lift the Trophy of Premier League at Anfield on Wednesday and he also earned the title of being the third Liverpool player to win the major title in the duration of seven years, following Mohammed Salah in 2018 and Luis Suarez in 2014, respectively.

Jordan Henderson said, “As grateful as I am I don’t feel like I can accept this on my own. I don’t feel like anything I’ve achieved this season or in fact during my whole career has been done on my own.”

“I owe a lot to so many different people – but none more so than my current teammates – who have just been incredible and deserve this every bit as much as I do,” he added.

“We’ve only achieved what we’ve achieved because every single member of our squad has been brilliant and not just in matches. Not just in producing the moments that make the headlines and the back pages but every day in training,” he continued.

“on behalf of the whole squad” and added: “If anything I hope those who voted for me did so partly to recognise the entire team’s contribution. Individual awards are nice and they are special and I will cherish this one. But an individual award without the collective achievement wouldn’t mean anywhere as much to me – if anything at all,” he added.

NFL Players To Be Tested For Covid-19 On Daily Basis

The NFL has announced that all the players will be tested for the Covid-19 pandemic for at least the first 2 weeks of the training camps. The players union and the NFL has reached an agreement as the rookies for Kansas City and Houston were all set to report to camp on Monday. On the other hand, the rookies from other teams begin arriving on Tuesday.

Sills said, “There’s no finish line with health and safety and I think these protocols are very much living and breathing documents, which means they will change as we gain new knowledge about this virus, as we gain new knowledge about transmission, as we gain new knowledge about testing and there are new tests and new techniques that come online. We very much anticipate that these protocols will change.”

“These are complicated issues which involve a lot of factors. But suffice it to say we very much look at it from a medical and public health standpoint, and we want to make sure that first and foremost we’re creating the safest possible environment for our players, for our coaches and our staff, but that we’re also operating within the safest environment for each one of our clubs’ locations, which means ongoing and regular communication with the public health authorities in those areas,” Sills added.

“Everything that we’re doing is centered around the concept of risk mitigation. We know that we can’t eliminate risk, but we’re trying to mitigate it as much as possible for everyone. We know that this is going to be a shared responsibility,” Sills continued.

“What’s good for players and what makes players and their families safer also makes coaches, staff and teams safer and, quite frankly, it makes our communities safer,” add Sills.
